JACE JANET CHANNING has over thirty (30) years of experience practicing law in various forums, including law firms, as in-house counsel, and with governmental agencies. While managing her own firm, she practiced all aspects of civil litigation, covering Breach of Contract, Fraud, Quiet Title, Partition, Fraudulent Real Property Liens, Personal Injury, and several family law matters. She has experience forming and advising all types of business entities, including for-profit, non-profit, LLCs, Partnerships, and DBAs. She has been retained to organize corporate books and minutes and maintain various aspects of corporate compliance.
She has worked in-house for a clothing designer, a radio broadcaster, and a broadcast media company, handling a wide variety of corporate matters, from worker’s compensation fraud, to harassment and commercial advertiser complaints, contracts and transactions, compliance with FCC rules, and litigation oversight and coordination. She also worked for the Small Business Administration as an Attorney Advisor during the COVID-19 pandemic and as a contractor for the Department of Justice on a complex healthcare fraud matter. Throughout the years, Jace has had significant litigation experiences, including litigating a Shareholder Derivative suit, complex pyramid scheme litigation, and she had a Writ of Habeas Corpus granted. Jace has also spent time mediating cases. She finds mediating to resolution to be the most challenging and rewarding aspect of litigation.
For fun, Jace enjoys walking, weight training, horses/rodeos, target practice, country music, and taking days off (when she can), with the specific intention of “doing absolutely nothing” unless she feels like it.
